INTEGRAL YOGA for EXPATS

We focus on meeting and teaching Expats in English to make them feel welcome in their new home. All classes are taught in English and most of our students are Expats and/or open minded and interested in meeting people from different cultures.

 

I teach Integral Yoga in the Sivananda tradition, which means to include every part of our make-up (Physical, Vital, Mental, Psychic, Spiritual). The goal of Yoga is to transform the whole being and make our life fulfilled and satisfied.

Sivananda Yoga style revolves around frequent relaxation and emphasizes full, yogic breathing.

My focus is on each student's needs and the combination of Asanas, breathing, relaxation and meditation. In my class I usually start with a stress-relieving relaxation and breathing exercise, followed by variations of the dynamic Sun Salutation to warm up the body and 8-12 powerful Asanas or variations of Asanas with focus on the breath. I include a lot of different styes of music to my lessons to make the atmosphere relaxed and fun. 

We end the class with a relaxation in Savasana, with music and guided visualisations. I work on the whole physical make-up of your body in a very sensitive and non-competitive way. In my classes I strive to create an environment where everybody can explore Yoga at their own pace and where everyone feels welcome and safe. 

 

 

Power and Stretch:

 

It is a more powerful class, with a lot of flows and more advanced Asanas followed by a nice long cool down and a lot of stretching. It is accompanied with music and finishes with a Relaxation in Savasana.

 

Relax and Breathe:

 

This class revoles around frequent relaxation and basic Asanas to relax the body and mind. It is suitable for all levels and especially for people recovering from injuries and pregnant women.
